Why Use a Planner?

Planners are process driven not transaction driven. Our fee based process involves in depth initial meetings to understand your entire financial picture, not just your investments. We discuss what you are trying to accomplish during your lifetime and the legacy that you wish to leave. We create a financial roadmap for you and your family. The plans reflect what is most important to you and are customized for your individual goals. We review the plan on a regular basis to adjust for your changing situation.

Investment Discipline

Carol was a stockbroker in 1987 when the stock market dropped 500 points in one day. She was a planner in the 1999-2000 technology bubble when investing looked easy and no one thought that they needed advice.

Many people who did not have someone to remind them that they were in it for the long haul panicked during those times and got out only to regret it later. Trying to time the market is a poor investment strategy. Between the time period of 1986 to 2006, the S&P 500 returned an average 11.8% per year and the average stock fund investor got a rate of return of only 4.3%. Source: Dalbar, Inc.*
